The Situation 17

draw near to the sacrament draw

pictures of christ ripping

his heart out draw pictures

of distorted memory don’t crease

her spine it’s creasing anyway

it’s writing a story with too many

twists I can’t sleep at night

for fear it’ll snap when I was younger

I believed I’d go to vilnius

I believed I’d at least get to hamburg

I didn’t even have to dream about

getting to folkestone that’s

no leap vampires don’t even have fun

these days they complain about their week

try getting blood from a scone if you’re

all alone around midnight don’t expect

me to care I went to a house I didn’t

know the girl I surrendered and told

myself by april I’d be in paris getting sentimental
