A final Act – Act 5…it’s really more of the curtains falling down than an Act…

Act 5

The three boys are chained to a wall and in front of them there is a massive TV screen.  The figures are gone.  There is a sound of static.  There are spaces along the wall for others to be chained there.

The static starts to make a recognisable sound. Scraping.  On the screen the image of a razor comes into focus.  A razor scraping down the screen.  It flickers and we see a man, masked, screaming soundlessly.

B- Razor.

G- Razor.

P- Razor.

The boys begin to chant the words over and over as the television screen begins showing images of violence, of the world crumbling, of mass hysteria, of rebellion, destruction, natural disaster, naked bodies.  This is supposed to be their punishment but they relish it.

Call of crane. Lights dim.  Boys laugh as they sing the word.  This fades.

Replaced by soft song of psalms, one woman singing.
